Clint Ramos

clint ramos (set & costume designer) - Recent credits include the The Revenger’s Tragedy for Red Bull Theater, Hamlet for Commonwealth Shakespeare Co., The Adventures of Barrio Girl for SPF/NY and Pictures of The Drowned for The Knife. Among his credits are the OBIE award winning productions of References To Salvador Dali Make Me Hot and And God Created Great Whales as well as My Dad’s Tacos for the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center in Maryland. Mr. Ramos has done design work for New York City Opera, The Public Theater (NYSF), The Culture Project, The Foundry Theater, Ma-Yi Theater Co., Folkoperan (Stockholm), De Nederlandse Opera (Amsterdam), High Tide Dance and more. Upcoming projects include Here Lies Love, a new musical by David Byrne for The Builders Association slated to go to BAM in 2007, Trial By Water for Ma-Yi and A Soldier’s Wife for the Mint. He is also a principal production and costume designer for Nickelodeon, Noggin, MTV, VH1 on-air promos. Recent television credits include Helen of Troy for the History Channel with Susan Sarandon and the Hispanic Heritage Series with Benjamin Bratt. Mr. Ramos is a recipient of the New York Theatre Workshop’s Design Fellowship and the Gary Kalkin Memorial Award. He is also a two-time nominee for the Independent Reviewers of New England Award for Best Design. He holds an MFA in Design from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. He is from the Philippines.
